So I still haven't figured this thing out  yet, but I thought it's time to write a new post. My baby boy will be a whopping 7 weeks on Tuesday!!! I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Obviously, I haven't posted since before my delivery, so to catch things up a bit.....

I was due October 22, 2012 and on my last OB appt (Oct 24th) I was scheduled for induction that following Monday, Oct 30th @ 7am. I was a little disappointed that I hadn't gone into labor yet, I was HUGE and experiencing a LOT of discomfort and pain, but I knew in my heart it was best for Cameron to come on his own. I had the option to get induced at 39 weeks, but decided not to. My boyfriend and I chose not to do it unless it was medically necessary. When my doctor scheduled it for the 30th, it was then medically necessary because that would put Cameron at 8 days past due. Fortunately come 4am on the 30th labor started on it's own. I guess Cameron knew his time was up and decided he didn't want to be forced out...or evicted as I would call it. :) We got to the hospital right on time (7am), and once prepped and in my room, I received the amazing, wonderful, life-savor, wouldn't go without it epidural at around 10am. :) I ultimately was in labor for 14 1/2 hours with about 1 1/2 hours of actual pushing time. So glad I didn't feel a thing once the epidural was in!

Cameron Lee Stacy was born at 6:40 pm, weighed 7lbs 0.4oz and 20in long!!! The most beautiful baby boy in the world!!! <3<3<3 Can't describe the love and joy I felt when I held my son in my arms for the first time. You mothers out there know what I'm talking about. He is my world and I am so blessed to have him in my life and be in his life. Nothing else matters anymore except for my little guy. :)

So recovery went pretty smoothly. Thankful for all the help I had the first couple of weeks. It's kinda funny, I thought I did a lot of dishes and laundry before Cameron, boy was I wrong! The endless bo ttles, dirty diapers and laundry still amazes me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am due back to work on Jan 7th and don't know how I'm gonna cope being away from my little man. I think my mom is going to be watching him when I go back. At least for a little while until I can figure out childcare. It is just sooo expensive now. I wish I had the means to stay at home or work part-time at least, but unfortunately someone has to pay the bills. I just know I'm sure gonna miss him. I will probably go crazy the first couple of weeks I'm away from him.

All-in-all, everything has been wonderful. I absolutely love being a mommy and cannot wait to teach Cameron and show him all the wonderful things this world has to offer. It's gonna be sooo much fun!!! :)

First time blogger....

Ok, so I am very new at this blogging thing. My best friend, Jessica, from Boys-Oh-Boys set up this blog for me. So please bare with me as I navigate my way through.

I am currently 39 weeks 2 days pregnant with my first baby! My boyfriend, Hershel and I, are having a baby boy named Cameron. I am so excited and so ready for Cameron to make his arrival. All-in-all I have had a pretty easy and enjoyable pregnancy, at least up until this last month.

I am officially done with work for the next 11 1/2 weeks, which makes things a little easier on me. However, these last couple of weeks have been wearing on me fast. Each day is more and more exhausting and uncomfortable. I have been experiencing some major back pain for a while and lately lots of cramping and pressure. I know it's all normal, but I do wish it would hurry up and be over with. So looking forward to being able to sleep on my back again! :)
